Definition
诱发 (yòu fā) means 'to induce, trigger' and is most often used for unintended or negative outcomes such as diseases, side effects, or reactions. Unlike 引发 (yǐn fā), a neutral 'cause/lead to' for any result, 诱发 carries a nuance of bringing out something latent. 促使 (cù shǐ) involves directly urging a person to act.
