Definition
豁 (huō) has two distinct meanings: (1) to crack/open a gap, and (2) to risk everything (often as 豁出去). For the 'risk' sense, 豁出去 is more colloquial and reckless than 拼 (pīn 'go all out') or 牺牲 (xīshēng 'sacrifice'). For the 'crack' sense, 豁 implies creating an opening, while 裂 (liè) is the general verb for splitting.
