Definition
赶紧 (gǎn jǐn) means 'hurriedly, without delay', used for urgent actions to avoid being too late. It is very similar to 赶快 (HSK4), but 赶紧 feels more urgent, often in commands. Unlike 急忙 (HSK5, 'hastily') and 连忙 (HSK5, 'react promptly'), 赶紧 is proactive: you do something 赶紧 to prevent a problem.
