Definition
进而 (jìn ér) means 'and then (proceeding further)' — it connects two actions where the second is a logical next step or further development. Unlike 然后 (rán hòu), which simply marks time order, 进而 implies progression. It also differs from 而且/并且, which add information without a sequential relationship.
