Definition
适者生存 is a fixed phrase from Darwin's theory of evolution, literally meaning 'the fit survive.' It refers to the natural selection process where organisms best adapted to their environment are more likely to survive and reproduce. In modern Chinese, it's also used metaphorically in competitive contexts (business, exams, society) to mean that only the strongest or most adaptable will succeed.
