鉴赏 (jiàn shǎng) means to appreciate as a connoisseur — it involves expert judgment of quality, especially for art, antiques, or cultural artifacts. It is more specialized and evaluative than 欣赏 (xīn shǎng), which simply means to enjoy or admire, and unlike 赞赏 (zàn shǎng), it does not necessarily imply praise.
