Definition
陌生 (mò shēng) means 'unfamiliar' and is used for places, people, and things you haven't encountered. It differs from 生疏 (shēng shū): 生疏 also describes skills that are 'rusty' or 'out of practice'. Unlike 奇怪 (qí guài), which emphasizes oddness, 陌生 focuses on lack of familiarity.
