降水 (jiàng shuǐ) is a meteorological term meaning 'to have precipitation' — rain, snow, sleet, etc. falling from the sky. It is more specific than the general verb 降 (jiàng), which can describe falling prices, temperature, or altitude. Use 降水 only for weather; use 降 for other types of falling.
