Definition
顺从 (shùncóng) means 'to comply with, obey, submit to' — it emphasizes yielding to someone else's will, often with a nuance of passivity or even reluctance. It is stronger and more submissive than 服从 (fúcóng), which is neutral and rule/authority-focused, and unlike 听话 (tīnghuà), which describes a general obedient character (especially of children), 顺从 is an action in a specific situation.
