Definition
驻 (zhù) means to be stationed or posted, usually for military troops, diplomats, or a company office — it implies a long-term assignment. It is more formal and specialized than 停留 (tíngliú, a temporary stay), and unlike 驻扎 (zhùzhā, strictly for troops), 驻 can also apply to diplomatic or corporate postings.
