Definition
拄 (zhǔ) means to prop or support yourself using a walking stick, crutch, or cane — the handheld item is always named (e.g., 拄拐杖). 倚 (yǐ) is broader: you can lean your body against a wall, and it also has a figurative meaning, 'to rely on'. Unlike 拄, 倚 does not require a handheld object.
