Definition
骗 (piàn) is the general, everyday verb for cheating, deceiving, or swindling someone. It's less formal and broader than 欺骗 (qī piàn, HSK6), which emphasizes deliberate deception, and contrasts with 诈骗 (zhà piàn, HSK7), a legal term for criminal fraud. Unlike 作弊 (zuò bì, HSK7), limited to cheating in exams or competitions, 骗 covers all kinds of lying and trickery.
