Definition
骨架 (gǔ jià) means 'skeleton' in both a literal sense (bones of a human or animal) and a figurative sense (core framework of a building, argument, or creative work). Unlike 骨骼 (gǔ gé), which denotes only the bones of an organism, 骨架 can also describe the core supporting framework of non-living things, where it highlights the internal support more than 框架 (kuàng jià 'outer frame') or 结构 (jié gòu 'composition').
