Definition
高傲 (gāo ào) describes an arrogant, haughty attitude of looking down on others — it is always negative. Compare with 骄傲 (jiāo'ào), which can be either positive (pride) or negative (arrogance), and 傲慢 (àomàn), which is similarly negative but often suggests a cold, disdainful haughtiness.
