Expressing "even more" with 更 or 还
In comparisons using 比 (bǐ), you can add 更 (gèng) or 还 (hái) before the adjective to emphasize "even more." This makes the comparison stronger than using 比 alone. 还 in this pattern implies an unexpected or surprising degree, while 更 is more straightforward.

更 and 还 are interchangeable here; 还 often implies an unexpected or extreme degree.
