Definition
还 (hái) has two common meanings: 'still' (something continues) and 'also, in addition'. It is NOT used for 'again' — use 再 (zài) for a future repeated action and 又 (yòu) for a past repeated action. For example, 还 means 'still here' or 'want another one', not 'do it again'.
