Expressing "from" with "从... 中"

Use 从...中 to indicate the source from which you obtain a result, like information, understanding, or a discovery. The source can be a concrete object, an experience, or a medium, and the result phrase follows 中.

  • 我从书中学习了很多知识。
    Wǒ cóng shū zhōng xuéxí le hěn duō zhīshi.
    I learned a lot from the book.
  • 我们从聊天中知道小王不喜欢咖啡。
    Wǒmen cóng liáotiān zhōng zhīdào Xiǎo Wáng bù xǐhuan kāfēi.
