"No Matter" StatementsHSK 5

Expressing "no matter" with 不管

不管 (bùguǎn) means 'no matter' or 'regardless of'. It is paired with a question word (like 什么, 怎么, 哪儿) and followed by 都 in the main clause to indicate that the result or action remains the same under any condition. The most common mistake is forgetting to include 都 after the comma.

Structure

不管 + Question Word ,(Subj. +) 都 + ...
The question word makes the condition open-ended, and 都 is required in the second clause to link it to the result.
