Expressing 'therefore' with 因此

因此 (yīncǐ) is a conjunction used to express 'therefore' or 'consequently,' linking a cause to its resulting effect. The cause is stated first, often followed by a comma, and 因此 introduces the effect. A common pitfall is forgetting the cause clause or starting a new sentence without explicitly stating the cause.
