庆幸 (qìngxìng) means feeling glad that a bad outcome was avoided — there's always an implied 'something bad could have happened'. Unlike 开心 (general happiness) or 祝贺/庆祝 (celebrating an event), 庆幸 is relief, not joy or celebration.
