Definition
丈 is a traditional Chinese unit of length, roughly 3.33 meters (about 10.9 feet). You use it as a classifier with numbers to measure cloth, land, or other linear distances — for example, 三丈布 'three zhang of cloth'. In modern daily life, 米 (meter) is more common, but 丈 still appears in fixed expressions, historical texts, and some rural contexts for land measurement.
