Definition
不偏不倚 is a four-character idiom meaning 'impartial' or 'fair,' literally 'not leaning, not relying.' You use it to describe someone who stays neutral, doesn't take sides, or something that is exactly centered or positioned correctly. It can be used as a predicate (态度不偏不倚) or a modifier (不偏不倚的立场). Unlike English 'impartial,' the Chinese phrase also carries a spatial sense of being straight or not tilted.
