Definition
决 is a literary bound form (b.f.) — it never stands alone as a word. Its most common use is in compounds meaning 'to decide' (决定, 决心) and as an adverb meaning 'definitely' (决不 'definitely not', 决非 'definitely not'). It also appears in 处决 ('execute') and 决裂 ('break off relations').
