Definition
冷淡 (lěng dàn) describes a cold, indifferent attitude or atmosphere — the opposite of warm and friendly. It differs from 冷落 (lěng luò), which emphasizes actively snubbing or neglecting someone, and from 漠然 (mò rán), which means apathetic or unresponsive in a detached way.
