Definition
夸夸其谈 describes speech that is grandiose and impressive-sounding but lacks real substance — it's bombastic and empty. Unlike 吹牛 (chuī niú), which is everyday bragging about one's own abilities or achievements, 夸夸其谈 focuses on the exaggerated, hollow style of the talk itself. It's the opposite of 侃侃而谈 (kǎn kǎn ér tán), which means speaking confidently and fluently with genuine content.
