Definition
救济 (jiù jì) means 'to provide emergency relief' — giving money or supplies to people in need, especially after a disaster. Unlike 救 (to rescue from danger) or 救援 (rescue operations), 救济 focuses on material aid, not physical rescue. It is more formal and specific to relief efforts than 救助 (general aid) or 接济 (ongoing financial help).
