Definition
正法 is a verb-object compound (离合词) meaning 'to execute (a criminal)'. It can be split: 正了法 ('executed'). In classical Chinese, it also means 'proper law/rule', but in modern usage the execution sense is primary. When used, the object is often placed before the verb with 将, or the compound is used in passive with 被.
