Definition
没趣 (méi qù) is a stative verb with two main uses: (1) describing something as boring or insipid (e.g., 这个故事很没趣 'this story is very dull'), and (2) expressing the feeling of being put out or snubbed, often in the phrase 自讨没趣 'to ask for a snub' or after 觉得 'to feel'. The two senses share the core idea of a lack of interest or pleasure, but the second involves a personal slight.
