注销 (zhù xiāo) means 'to cancel' an account, membership, or registration, often by removing it from an official system. It differs from 取消 (qǔ xiāo), which cancels events or plans, and from 撤销 (chè xiāo), which revokes a decision or action. 注销 is used for formal, permanent cancellations of records or services.
