Definition
流逝 (liú shì) is a literary verb used specifically for the irreversible passing of time, youth, or memories — it carries a poetic, often wistful tone. Unlike 推移 (tuī yí), which is neutral and can also describe a situation evolving, 流逝 focuses on the sense of something slipping away permanently. It is more abstract than 流淌 (liú tǎng), which can describe literal liquid flow as well as time.
