Definition
涌 (yǒng) means 'to surge, gush, well up' — it describes liquid or emotion rising and bursting out from within. Unlike 流入 (flow into) which emphasizes direction, or 涌现 (emerge in large numbers) which is for abstract things like talents, 涌 focuses on the forceful upward or outward movement of a substance or feeling.
