Definition
漫天 has two main uses: a literal one meaning 'filling or covering the whole sky' (e.g. 漫天大雪), and a figurative one meaning 'boundless, excessive, over the top' — most often heard in the fixed phrase 漫天要价 'to ask an exorbitant price'. As a verb-phrase (v.p.), it can act as a predicate or an attributive modifier (attaching to a noun like 大雪, 黄沙). The figurative sense carries a negative connotation of overreaching or lacking limits.
