Definition
灌 (guàn) means to pour a liquid into a container or to irrigate, often with force or to fill completely. Unlike 浇 (jiāo) 'pour over/onto' or 注 (zhù) 'inject, direct', 灌 also extends to installing software and recording music. It is more general than 灌溉 (guàn gài) 'irrigate'.
