Definition
灌输 (guàn shū) means to instill ideas or values through persistent, often one-sided repetition, carrying a stronger connotation of indoctrination than the neutral 教 (jiāo, to teach) or the formal 传授 (chuán shòu, to impart knowledge/skills). It also literally means to channel water for irrigation, distinct from 灌 (guàn, to pour) and 灌溉 (guàn gài, systematic irrigation).
