Definition
磨损 (mó sǔn) describes physical wear and tear on objects through friction or use (clothing, machinery, tools). This is concrete, unlike 消磨 (xiāo mó) which is abstract (patience, time). The verb 磨 (mó) overlaps partly but has many other senses (grind, pester) and is less specific to wear.
