突破性 is an attributive adjective (属性词) meaning 'breakthrough' or 'groundbreaking'. It can only be used before a noun to describe something that represents a significant advance or leap forward — you cannot say *这个发现很突破性; instead say 这个发现具有突破性 (using the noun form).
