Definition
粗糙 (cūcāo) describes a rough, coarse texture (e.g., fabric, skin) and can extend to crude workmanship or a gruff voice. Unlike 粗 (cū), which is broader (thick, rude), 粗糙 focuses on unevenness or lack of refinement. For rude behavior, use 粗鲁 (cūlǔ) instead.
