Definition
累计 (lěi jì) means 'to accumulate to a total' and is used for numbers that add up over time (e.g., cumulative sales, hours). It differs from 积累 (jī lěi), which is for gradually accumulating abstract things like experience or wealth, and from 累积 (lěi jī), which emphasizes a slow, steady buildup. Unlike 总计/共计 (zǒng jì/gòng jì), which simply sum a set of items, 累计 implies a running total that grows incrementally.
