而且 (ér qiě) — moreover, furthermore; (used in 不但...而且...) not only ... but also ...

Definition

A common conjunction meaning 'and what's more / moreover' — used to add a second point to the first. In the set phrase 不但…而且… it pairs with 不但 to mean 'not only… but also…'. More colloquial than 并且, which sounds more formal.
