Definition
调教 combines 'adjusting' and 'teaching'. You use it for training people (especially subordinates, children, or students) to obey rules or acquire skills, often with a firm or authoritative tone. It also covers the feeding and training of domestic animals like dogs or horses. The word is more forceful than 教育 or 训练.
