露馅 is a colloquial verb meaning 'a secret gets out' or 'the truth is revealed'. The literal image is 'the filling leaks out' — like a dumpling splitting open and exposing its contents. This word is often used when someone's hidden scheme or mistake is accidentally exposed. It is a separable verb (离合词), so you can insert aspect markers like 了 or 过 between 露 and 馅: 露了馅 ('the secret came out'), 露过馅 ('has been exposed before').
