Definition
骄傲 has two opposite meanings: the positive 'proud (of an achievement)' and the negative 'arrogant'. For the positive sense, it's more conversational than 自豪 (HSK6, more formal) and avoids the smug tone of 得意 (HSK4, self-satisfied). For the negative sense, it's the everyday word for arrogance, while 傲慢 is more formal and 自负 implies overconfidence.
