Expressing 'again' in the future with 再

Use 再 (zài) before a verb to express that an action will be repeated or done again in the future. It is only for future or anticipated actions, unlike 又 (yòu) which marks past repetition. Be careful not to mix up these two adverbs.

Exemples

我们明年再来。
Wǒ men míng nián zài lái.
We'll come again next year.
再试一下。
Zài shì yí xià.
Try it again.
你可以再说一遍吗？
Nǐ kě yǐ zài shuō yí biàn ma?
Can you please say it again?
这本书我要再看一遍。
Zhè běn shū wǒ yào zài kàn yí biàn.
I want to read this book again.
你应该再复习一遍。
Nǐ yīng gāi zài fù xí yí biàn.
You should review it again.
