Expressing "hard to avoid" with 难免
难免 means 'hard to avoid' or 'inevitable.' It is placed before a verb phrase to indicate that something is bound to happen. Often, 会 (will) is added before the verb, though it can be omitted. Do not use 避免 (to avoid) after 难免—the meaning of 'unavoidable' is already contained in the word.

会 is often added before the verb phrase; it is optional.
Examples
- 刚开始说外语时难免会有一些误会。Gāng kāi shǐ shuō wài yǔ shí nán miǎn huì yǒu yì xiē wù huì.When you first start speaking a foreign language, there are inevitably going to be some misunderstandings.
- 第一次坐飞机出国难免会有点兴奋。Dì yī cì zuò fēi jī chū guó nán miǎn huì yǒu diǎn xīng fèn.There's no way to not feel excited about it the first time you get on a plane to go abroad.
- 刚离开家的时候难免会想家。Gāng lí kāi jiā de shí hou nán miǎn huì xiǎng jiā.When you first leave home, you can't help but feel homesick.
- 刚开始工作,经验不多,难免会出错。Gāng kāi shǐ gōng zuò, jīng yàn bù duō, nán miǎn huì chū cuò.When you first start working, you will inevitably make mistakes because you don't have much experience.
- 这是我第一次表演难免有一些紧张。Zhè shì wǒ dì yī cì biǎo yǎn nán miǎn yǒu yì xiē jǐn zhāng.This is my first time performing, so I can't help but feel a little nervous.
