Expressing "should" with 应该
The auxiliary verb 应该 is the most common way to say 'should.' It is placed before the main verb to express obligation or advice, and its negative form is 不应该.

Examples
- 在中国，你应该喝白酒。Zài zhōng guó, nǐ yīng gāi hē bái jiǔ.In China, you should drink baijiu.
- 我应该给你多少钱？Wǒ yīng gāi gěi nǐ duō shǎo qián?How much money should I give you?
- 感冒的时候应该喝热水。Gǎn mào de shí hou yīng gāi hē rè shuǐ.You should drink hot water when you have a cold.
- 明天你应该八点半来公司。Míng tiān nǐ yīng gāi bā diǎn bàn lái gōng sī.You should come to the office tomorrow at 8:30.
- 他太累了，应该回家休息。Tā tài lèi le, yīng gāi huí jiā xiū xi.He's too tired. He should go home and rest.
