Using 到 to mean "to go to"

The verb 到 (dào) means "to arrive" and indicates where someone has arrived. Use the pattern Subj. + 到 + Place to state arrival at a location. Don't confuse 到 with 去 (to go): 到 focuses on the endpoint, not the journey.
