肉 (ròu) — meat; flesh; pulp (of a fruit)

肉 (ròu) is 'meat' (the food, as in 三斤肉) or the flesh of fruit. Distinct from 肌肉 (muscle on a body) and 肌肤 (literary 'skin/flesh'). The fruit-flesh sense is a small extension of the meat sense.
