Definition
上浮 literally means 'to float upward' and is used for submarines surfacing or objects rising in water. Figuratively, it describes increases in prices, salaries, interest rates, or other numerical values — the opposite of 下浮 (to decrease). You'll encounter it most often in financial and economic contexts.
