Definition
后顾之忧 (hòu gù zhī yōu) refers to worries about the future (especially family matters) that restrict one's freedom of action. It's often used in the negative phrase 无后顾之忧 ('have no further worries'). Unlike 无忧无虑 (wú yōu wú lǜ), which describes a general carefree state of mind, 后顾之忧 is about specific concerns that hinder decision-making.
