崩溃 (bēng kuì) means a sudden, complete collapse of a system, mind, computer, or economy — it emphasizes total failure or loss of control. Unlike 垮 (kuǎ), which is more colloquial and used for physical objects or plans, 崩溃 is the go-to word for computer crashes and mental breakdowns.
